Project Overview
Scheduling should work for you, not the
other way around.
Appointira is an all-in-one scheduling platform I designed from the ground up for service-based businesses -
bringing bookings, payments, clients, and day-to-day scheduling into one simple experience.

The Problem
Managing appointments shouldn’t feel like a
full-time job.
Managing appointments often means juggling calendars, payments, client information, reminders, and team
schedules across multiple tools. I saw an opportunity to bring the entire appointment journey into one simpler,
connected experience.
The Fragmented Experience
One appointment. Too many moving parts.
What looks like a simple booking is actually a series of connected tasks happening behind the scenes. When
those tasks live across different tools, every appointment creates more work than it should.

Research & Insights
The real problem wasn’t booking. It was
everything around it.
Looking at existing scheduling experiences revealed that booking itself was rarely the problem. The friction came
from everything around it—availability, cancellations, payments, reminders, clients, and team coordination. The key
insight: businesses didn’t need another calendar. They needed a better way to manage the entire appointment
experience.

Define
Different businesses. The same need for
simplicity.
Appointira needed to work for everyone from solo professionals to growing service teams. Despite different
workflows, their core needs were similar: manage availability, accept bookings, stay organized, and spend less
time on repetitive tasks. That became the foundation for a flexible experience that could grow with the business.

Ideation & Product Strategy
Turning complexity into one connected
experience.
With the core needs defined, I mapped how booking, availability, clients, payments, and team management
could work together as one experience. The goal was to keep everyday tasks simple while leaving room for
more advanced workflows as businesses grow.

AI-Assisted Design & Build
From product idea to working experience.
Final Design / The Solution
One platform. Every appointment in one place.
The final experience brings the entire scheduling journey together—from the moment a customer books to how
businesses manage appointments, clients, payments, and teams behind the scenes. I focused on creating an interface
that feels simple for everyday tasks while keeping more powerful tools within easy reach.

Reflections & Learnings
Designing for students taught me to
never stop being one.
CollegeBuddy started as a college project and became something much more personal.
Redesigning it after graduation gave me the distance to see what the original was missing
- not features, but feeling. The first version solved the problem. The redesign made it feel like home.
This project taught me that designing for a community means becoming part of it first. Every
interview, every survey, every wireframe was grounded in something I lived through myself.
That proximity made the design better.
Most importantly I learned that trust is a design decision. Every choice — verified .edu
access, clean navigation, a focused feed — was in service of making students feel
safe enough to actually connect.
